The brief

Field Notes Quarterly is an independent magazine about design and place. Each issue mixes long essays, photography and maps.

What we made

A flexible grid that lets every story find its own rhythm, plus a type system with one serif and one grotesk. The layout gives long reads room to breathe and lets the photographs run big.

Issue four was shortlisted for a European Design Award in editorial design.
